We invite you to come and train with us for FREE! No gimmicks!

We are a professional Martial Art Academy operating since 1992 without interruptions. The style that we teach, Shaolin 5 Animal Kung Fu; a style that is considered one of the best martial arts in the world as it allowing a high degree of adaptations for you to be able to find what best works for you.

The Academy is managed and classes are mainly taught by Master Robert Z and wife Dagmar. Together have over 70 years martial art and teaching experience ensuring a high quality of martial art, in a safe, friendly and pleasant environment. You will enjoy a high level of professionalism, well trained and educted instructors, friendly and helpful fellow students and you will learn a 1000 year old art of self defence whilst becoming fit and healthy.

As all this may sound too good to be true but it isn't. We invite you to try it out for yourself by offering you three FREE, no obligation, sessions with us, any of our three venues any class, any time. You are welcome to come and watch or join in. And if you feel uncoordinated and/or unfit, you can stop training any time and take a break. It's all very easy and friendly!

Where we are!

You can choose from three easy Melbourne Southern Region locations, where you can try out with us for free, in Mordialloc, Caulfield and Camberwell. with no further obligations. If you want we can send you an 11 minute DVD which will show you us, our location and how we train (This is also free). Or you can print out the Three FREE Training session voucher and come in for three free classes; we will even give you a little gift when you do this!

Academy Background

The Shaolin Academy was established and has been in uninterrupted operation in Victoria since 1992. The Academy is a recognized Martial Art Teaching Center and accredited by several national and international organizations including but not limited to; the Martial Art Industry Association, International Kung Fu Wushu Federation, Australian Government, Chinese Kung Fu & Tai Chi Association.

All our instructors are exceedingly well trained and qualified in Martial Arts & Self Defence, Teaching, First Aid, Presentation, Safety, Venue Management, Emergency Procedures and of in their Duty of Care.

The style of kung fu the Shaolin Academy teaches and uses was developed in 539 CE (that is almost 1500 years ago) in China and is considered one of the most effective and safe of martial art styles in the world. It has been featured in many martial art Movies and Serials (including the 70's TV series Kung Fu with the late David Carradine) and martial art stars such as Jacky Chan and Jet Li have represented the style in movies such as "The Shaolin Temple".

The Shaolin Academy welcomes students of all ages, all ages, all professions, all ethnicities, all religions and all colours. Currently training with us are students between the age of 12 and 68 years fit from 17 different countries.

All our early 6.30pm classes are beginner classes for new students. Just come in 30 minutes earlier so that we can go through the safety introduction and then introduce you to the other participants.
