Great Training with great People
We usually finish the warm-up with the Emei Shan breathing and meditation form. After that, the class moves through short training blocks of about 15 minutes each. These may include learning new material, applying techniques with a partner, impact work on pads or shields, refining movement, and developing practical Kung Fu skills. Most classes finish with light, controlled sparring, adjusted to the people training on the night.
No Contracts
If you decide to join, there are no contracts or minimum terms. You choose which days to train and when not to. One week you may train all sessions, the next week none. It is up to you.
No Price Increases, Ever
Once you are a member, your starting rate is locked in for as long as you stay with us. Those who started two decades ago, like Terry, are still paying that same membership price. That is our way of rewarding loyalty and commitment.
No In-Class Payments
We do not charge for anything that is part of your training. If you need new items, such as a sash after grading, that will cost, but there are no other training charges. No association fees. No extra seminar fees.
Free Monthly Review
Gradings can cost between $50 and $150 each. Ours are included and free. We run a monthly review, and when you are ready, you advance.
No Yearly Membership Fee
Aside from your normal weekly, fortnightly, or monthly training fee, there are no hidden or surprise fees.
Professional, Not Commercial
How can we do this? We are professional, but not commercial. Because we use a hired venue, we pay for the time we train, not for the time the hall is empty. Full-time clubs have much higher overheads, and those costs have to be passed on.
It is much like the difference between a small business and a large organisation. A small business can run leaner and more efficiently. And it allows us to focus on our members.
